Light Heavyweights
Dustin Jacoby (12-5) vs. Justin Ledet (9-3)ODDS: Jacoby (-310), Ledet (+255)
This should be an enjoyable return to the UFC for Jacoby. His first stint in the Octagon was easily forgettable, as it lasted all of two fights and three months, but the Coloradan fell into a kickboxing career shortly thereafter and certainly seems ready for another shot. There are still questions about the ancillary parts of Jacoby’s game, but his takedown defense was on point enough to beat a solid opponent on Dana White’s Contender Series and grappling does not figure to be much of an issue here against Ledet. A former boxer, Ledet had some promise as a heavyweight prospect thanks to his quick hands, but a cut down to light heavyweight has neutered those advantage. Since dropping to 205 pounds, Ledet has looked slow and one-dimensional in three one-sided losses. Jacoby should be both the quicker and harder hitter, so this looks like easy work. The pick is Jacoby via third-round stoppage.
