By The Numbers: UFC Fight Night 226 Pre-Fight Edition

Ciryl Gane will attempt to rebound from his defeat to Jon Jones in failed bid to unify the Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight crown when he tackles Sergey Spivak in the UFC Fight Night 226 main event on Saturday at Accor Arena in Paris. Meanwhile, Manon Fiorot puts her 10-fight winning streak on the line against Rose Namajunas in the three-round women’s flyweight co-headliner at 125 pounds.

As UFC Fight Night “Gane vs. Spivak” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card bring to the table:

150,000: Dollars in post-fight bonuses banked by Gane across his 10 appearances in the UFC. He has been awarded “Performance of the Night” twice and “Fight of the Night” once.

7: Countries in which Spivak has competed as a mixed martial artist. He has gone 7-0 in Ukraine, 5-2 in the United States, 1-0 in Kazakhstan, 1-0 in Moldova, 1-0 in Australia, 1-0 in the United Arab Emirates and 0-1 in Canada.

112: Total strikes landed by Fiorot in a three-round unanimous decision over Mayra Bueno Silva at UFC Fight Night 195 in October 2021. It was the first of two UFC outings in which “The Beast” surpassed the century mark, as she went on to connect 101 times in claiming a unanimous decision from Jennifer Maia at UFC on ESPN 33 a little more than five months later.

932: Days spent by Namajunas as undisputed UFC women’s strawweight champion. The Milwaukee native held the 115-pound title from Nov. 4, 2017 to May 11, 2019 and again from April 24, 2021 to May 7, 2022.

9: Benoit St. Denis victories by submission, accounting for 82% of his career total (11). His methods of choice: two guillotine chokes, two rear-naked chokes, two arm-triangle chokes, one armbar, one kneebar and one face crank. St. Denis draws Thiago Moises in a three-round lightweight showcase.

23: Seconds needed for Moises to wipe out Dennis Bentes Figueira da Fonseca with a head kick under the Eco Combat Championship banner on Sept. 22, 2012. Nearly 11 years later, it remains the former Resurrection Fighting Alliance champion’s fastest finish to date.

12: Volkan Oezdemir wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 67% of his career total (18). His list of UFC victims: Ilir Latifi, Jimi Manuwa and Misha Cirkunov. Oezdemir battles Bogdan Guskov—a short-notice fill-in for Azamat Murzakanov—in a three-round light heavyweight feature.

3: Sub-minute stoppage victories on the Guskov resume. He buried Ivan Lunechka with punches in 40 seconds at an Alliance Fighting Championships show on April 22, 2017, punched out Alireza Vafaei in 30 seconds at MMA Series 61 on Nov. 28, 2022 and cut down Carlos Eduardo with punches in 25 seconds at MMA Series 64 on March 18, 2023.

26: Years of age for William Gomis. The youngest fighter on the card, he was born on June 13, 1997 in Montivilliers, France. Gomis confronts Yannis Ghemmouri in a three-round featherweight appetizer.

6: Organizations for which Ghemmouri has plied his MMA trade. He has gone 4-0 in Lyon Fighting Championship, 3-0 in Brave Combat Federation, 2-1 in 100% Fight, 1-0 in World Warriors Fighting Championship, 1-0 in Sparta Fight Series and 1-0 UAE Warriors.

5,920: Miles between where Manolo Zecchini trains in Venice, Italy, and UFC headquarters in Las Vegas. He meets Morgan Charriere in a three-round featherweight appetizer.

67: Rounds completed by Charriere as a professional mixed martial artist. The former Cage Warriors Fighting Championship titleholder has gone the distance on 14 different occasions and carries a 5-8-1 record in those bouts.

36: Years of age for Zarah Fairn dos Santos. The oldest fighter on the card, she was born in Salvador, Brazil, on Dec. 10, 1986. Fairn dos Santos squares off with Portuguese newcomer Jacqueline Cavalcanti in a preliminary catchweight contest at 140 pounds.

.796: Cumulative winning percentage between the 22 fighters scheduled to compete at the event. They boast a combined record of 257-65-2. Oezdemir, Charriere and Taylor Lapilus tie for the most victories (18) of anyone on the card, while Charriere has been saddled with the most losses (nine). Lapilus dukes it out with Caolan Loughran in the featured bantamweight prelim.
