Uriah Hall idolized Anderson Silva for years and now stands across from him in what could be the former Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight titleholder’s swan song appearance. “Primetime” will confront Silva in the UFC Fight Night 181 headliner on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, where he hopes to send the Brazilian legend out on his shield.

A two-time Ring of Combat champion who recently put down roots at the star-studded Fortis MMA camp, Hall was a finalist on Season 17 of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series but has never managed to meet the lofty expectations set before him. The 36-year-old Jamaica native owns a middling 8-7 record in the UFC but enters his emotionally charged battle with Silva on the strength of back-to-back victories over Bevon Lewis and Antonio Carlos Jr.

Silva’s name can be found all over the UFC record book, his place in history long since secure. However, “The Spider” has not aged well and wanders into his showdown with Hall having gone 1-6 with one no-contest across his past eight appearances. Now 45, Silva has not fought since he was struck down by a Jared Cannonier leg kick at UFC 237 nearly 18 months ago.

UFC Fight Night “Hall vs. Silva”—which streams live to ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT—also features a featherweight co-main event between Bryce Mitchell and Andre Fili, a middleweight tilt pairing Kevin Holland with Charlie Ontiveros, a heavyweight affair pitting Maurice Greene against Greg Hardy and a lightweight clash matching Bobby Green with Thiago Moises. In addition, ESPN+ will stream the entire undercard at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, the seven-fight preliminary slate anchored by a lightweight duel slotting Alexander Hernandez opposite Chris Gruetzemacher.
