VanArsdale, a decorated high school, collegiate and world-class wrestler, was a two- time Olympic Alternate, World Cup Champion, and NCAA Division 1 Collegiate Wrestling Champion for Iowa State. While in the U.S. Army, he served as Head Freestyle and Assistant Greco Roman Wrestling Coach for the Army's World Class Athlete Program and helped produce a World Champion, an Olympian, several National Champions, and three National Champion Teams. He also helped train the 2004 Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Team and has trained numerous NCAA D1 Champions and All-Americans at the collegiate level.
