Beatdown: Richman, Spong, Dr. Jon Gelber

Beatdown returned Wednesday on the Sherdog Radio Network. Hosts TJ De Santis and Jeff Sherwood were joined by fighters Mike Richman, Tyrone Spong, and physician Jon Gelber.

Last Thursday night Bellator featherweight Mike Richman earned himself a split-decision over “Popo” Alexandre Bezerra. The victory punched his ticket to this season’s featherweight tournament finals. There Richman will face Magomedrasul Khasbulev. “The Marine” chats about the victory, what his thoughts were while waiting for the judge’s decision, and his thoughts on the final which has a title shot against Pat Curran on the line.

Kickboxer turned mixed martial artist Tyrone Spong joined “Beatdown” to chat about his endeavors in Glory. The Blackzilian team member faces K-1 standout Remy Bonjasky in the main event at Glory 5. Spong also chats about the team dynamic down in Florida and what is next for him in the MMA real.

Dr. Jon Gelber from FightMedicine.net also joined the show to talk about Fallon Fox and trangender mixed martial artists competing as their reassigned sex.
