As two of the more promising 185-pound prospects in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the middleweight hopefuls will collide in the UFC Fight Night 200 co-feature on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Soriano finds himself on the rebound for the first time in his career. He last appeared at UFC on ESPN 27, where he dropped a unanimous decision to former Legacy Fighting Alliance titleholder Brendan Allen in their July 24 pairing. Maximov, meanwhile, remains undefeated through seven pro assignments. The Nick Diaz protégé made his Octagon debut on Sept. 25, when he took a unanimous decision from Cody Brundage in their three-round confrontation at UFC 266.

With the Soriano-Maximov showdown now looming, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

29: Years of age for Soriano, who was born on Nov. 22, 1992 in Waialua, Hawaii.

5: Soriano victories by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 63% of his career total (eight). His list of UFC victims: Dusko Todorovic and Oskar Piechota. Soriano owns two other victories by submission and one more by decision.

2: Sub-minute stoppage wins on the Soriano resume. He buried Rafael Celestino with punches in 31 seconds on April 6, 2018 and struck down James Horne with punches in 45 seconds on June 16, 2018.

4: Knockdowns landed by Soriano in his three UFC appearances. He floored Piechota twice at UFC 245 in December 2019 and did the same to Todorovic at UFC on ABC 1 in January 2021.

7: Organizations in which Soriano has plied his mixed martial arts trade. He has gone 2-1 in the UFC, 1-0 in Dana White’s Contender Series, 1-0 in the Legacy Fighting Alliance, 1-0 in the Professional Fighters League, 1-0 in Titan Fighting Championship, 1-0 in V3 Fights and 1-0 in X-1 World Events.

24: Years of age for Maximov, who was born in Bend, Oregon, on Dec. 23, 1997.

3: Maximov wins by submission, accounting for 43% of his career total (seven). His methods of choice: two rear-naked chokes and one kimura. Maximov holds two other wins by knockout or technical knockout and two more by decision.

23: Seconds needed for Maximov to punch out Nick Piecuch in his professional debut at King of the Cage “Terminal Velocity” on Oct. 6, 2018. It remains the fastest finish of his brief but eventful seven-fight career.

8: Rounds completed by Maximov as a mixed martial artist. He has gone the distance on two occasions and owns a 2-0 mark in those bouts.

15: Maximov takedown attempts levied against the aforementioned Brundage. He completed four of them, resulting in more than nine minutes of control time.
