BetUS.com lists Ribas as a -185 favorite for the five-round main event, with Dern as the +155 underdog. In the co-headliner, Ponzinibbio is favored at -140, with Harris coming back at +110.

Dern, 31, climbs back into the Octagon with wins in seven of her past 11 outings. The 2015 Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Fighting World Championships gold medalist last competed at UFC on ABC 7, where she rebounded from back-to-back losses to Jessica Andrade and Amanda Lemos with a three-round unanimous decision over Lupita Godinez on Aug. 3. A longtime Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, Dern has secured seven of her 14 career victories by submission. Ribas, meanwhile, enters the cage having alternated wins and losses in each of her past seven appearances. The 31-year-old former Jungle Fight champion last suited up on March 23, when she dropped a five-round unanimous decision to Rose Namajunas at UFC on ESPN 53. Ribas owns a 7-4 record in the UFC.

UFC Vegas 101 also features a featherweight scrap matching Austin Bashi (-285) with Christian Rodriguez (+225), a welterweight tilt pitting Uros Medic (-220) against Punahele Soriano (+180) and a pair of middleweight battles, as Roman Kopylov (-260) meets Chris Curtis (+210) and Cesar Almeida (-250) faces Abdul Razak Alhassan (+200). Flyweights anchor the undercard, where Jose Johnson (-190) confronts Felipe Bunes (+160) in the featured prelim at 125 pounds.
